Dei V Shares First Single From His Highly Anticipated Debut Album “Martini”

Emerging Puerto Rican superstar Dei V released the first single from his highly anticipated freshman album titled Martini today, which was developed by world-renowned producer and songwriter Sky Rompiendo. Fresh off the release of his collaboration with Urban legends Gaby Music and Chris Jedi, “Los Marcianos Vol 1: Dei V Version,” in this new single Dei V blends traditional hip hop/rap and reggaeton influences to portray a trap love story. “Martini” and the official music video are available today on all platforms.

Creating a juxtaposition between Latin trap music, which is often categorized as raw, gritty and romantic, Dei V raps about themes of affection and desire for a special someone.The track incorporates traditional trap synthesizers and vocal sounds with lyrics about lust and love. Throughout the track, Dei V describes a deep desire for someone, someone that may not be compatible for you but that you crave anyhow, and adding in a flare of immense confidence about being the best for this person.    

In the official music video, shot in Miami and produced by Jonah Diaz, we see Dei V and a woman interstitially in various locations, including with a DeLorean, at the Miami skyline and in a bedroom. The various intimate settings are intertwined with use of dark colors, giving off an ominous vibe, while Dei V delivers the sultry lyrics.
