Grupo Frontera made their way to Los Angeles on their first-ever tour, El Comienzo on Saturday (Nov 25), where the group performed to a sold-out crowd of nearly 7,100 exciting fans at the Peacock Theater.

Once the doors opened at 7 pm, the theater began to fill with people of all ages, ready to see the chart-topping música Mexicana sensation. And as fans walked across the venue to their seats, many wore cowboy boots and tejana hats.

Grupo Frontera’s opening act Milla 22, first took center stage to pump up the crowd, followed by ambiance music that included Grupo Firme and Eslabon Armado, to name a few.

Then, the beloved and acclaimed norteño group hit the stage. Grupo Frontera’s setlist started strong with their version of “No Se Va,” which sky-rocketed the group’s success in 2022. Followed by “Di Que Si” and “Le Va Doler” before singing a fan favorite “Bebe Dame,” a collaboration with Fuerza Regida.

Throughout the show, fans in the audience danced in their seats and the aisles, chanting and singing the lyrics to their favorite songs at the top of their lungs.

Delighting fans with a two-hour performance, Grupo Frontera performed 24 songs, including the majority from their debut album, El Comienzo. Some of those songs were “De Lunes A Lunes with Manuel Turizo, the heartfelt song “Cuidala,” “Ojitos Rojos,” and “El Amor De Su Vida” among many more songs.

Of course, in true Grupo Frontera fashion, the guys wore Los Angeles Dodgers jerseys with the number 23. They also paid tribute to Mexican musical heroes such as Selena Quintanilla and Ramon Ayala.

Toward the end of the show, the band closed with an extended version of “No Se Va” and then an encore of “Un x100to” as they thanked every Los Angeles fan for their love and support.

It’s safe to say that Grupo Frontera has mastered the formula of making a real significant hit. Every song they’ve come out within these two years has grown in popularity, leaving fans wanting more.

After all, I can still recall the moment I found Grupo Frontera’s music, thanks to “No Se Va” on TikTok, and since then, I have become a true fan of their music. I’m excited to see Grupo Frontera’s continued growth because it’s from Texas para el mundo!
