ERRE Shares Exciting Details About His Debut Album ‘Hasta Mi Habitación’ (Exclusive)

Erre, whose name is Eduardo Granado Rojas, was born in Phoenix, AZ. His mother and his uncles are originaly from Chihuahua, Mexico. That’s why he’s been surrounded by latin rhythms since he was a kid. “When I was little, I went with my mom to her work”, says Erre.

Armed with his guitar and his computer, Erre has been producing music since he was fourteen years old. He started by writing “corridos tumbados”, inspired by several Mexican artists. “But the more music I made, the more I homed in the kind of music I wanted to make”, he says. “I still like ‘corridos’, but I prefer songs about love and heartbreak; I like that the emotions my lyrics evoke are sincere. My music is very regional, but I still try to experiment with different sounds”.

Without a doubt, Erre stands out as one of the most promising sad sierreño artists poised to captivate the música mexicana scene. His song “BACCARAT,” demonstrates his meticulous ability to weave his heartfelt emotions into a relatable sierreño track. With a melodic acoustic guitar, a powerful bass, and a surprising electric guitar touch, the soft crooner narrates a personal story about a breakup’s aftermath.

In mid 2023, Erre started to work with Interscope and since then, he has been in several live events, touring as the opening act for DannyLux. He has release his much-anticipated debut album titled Desde Mi Habitación. The album includes 12 tracks, including collaborations with Danny Lux and Eslabon Armado.

The focus track, "Su Prince” is a beautiful melody written by ERRE that explores reminiscing about a past relationship and his regrets for not meeting his significant other's expectations. It is a song about heartbreak and taking one's significant other for granted.

We recently caught up with Erre to talk his debut project, why he chose the title Desde Mi Habitación and much more. Press play and enjoy our conversation below.
